The links to specific programs may change from time to time. If one of these does not work simply access the resource via the home page. Many media outlets provide transcripts and downloadable video and audio files of many of their programs. These are often useful resources for extremely current issues.

The ABC

The ABC makes online videos, transcripts often online resources available from its website for most programs. These are often excellent teaching materials. Below is a list of the main programs and materials offered by the ABC directly relevant to economics. It is worth regularly checking the ABC website for updates and new features as they come online

News corporations cable service offers quite a few online resources that are specifically developed for Australian schools. BBC world and the history channel offer from time to time videos, on line teacher notes and transcripts and support activities for programs that are relevant to secondary economics. National geographic and the discovery channel also make available similar resources in relation to ecological and environmental questions that may prove useful for teachers

SBS news and current affaits services make many of their interviews and transcripts available online. Trevor Sykes does interviews with key business figures such as Hugh Morgan and these are often useful resources for biography relevant to current issues. SBS from time to time offers online specials such as the one on gold listed below.

Nine

This site does not have an educational focus but makes transcripts and articles from many f its programs available online. Students often watch these programs and hence the materials can be topical and useful from time to time.
