INEQUALITY.ORG	This site offers commentary stats and analysis on current distributional and welfare issues in the states.
Institute for Research on Poverty	Statistics, details of poverty measurement and Gini Co efficient can all be accessed from this site as well as analysis of current Government policy in the states.
Income Inequality	Historical and other data from the US Census Bureau on poverty in America. It is a pity our own ABS does not follow their example.
Joint Center for Poverty Research: Home Page	This sites carries a classroom section and focuses on a broad range of welfare issues. It carries papers and briefs on Child Poverty, rural poverty, a poverty Research news newsletter and many interesting position papers on welfare reform.
Political Issues: Poverty and Welfare	Feature articles from the Archive of the Atlantic Monthly on poverty and welfare issues in the US.
The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research	This is a fantastic site which carries a broad range of material on current economic issues in the states generally. Many of the book reviews and contents of the societies newsletter teachers will find particularly interesting. It publishes poverty analyses and analyses of welfare policy in the states as well.
Cent er on Budget and Policy Priorities	Carries lots of reports analysing the Impact of Budget priorities on middle, and low income earners .
OMB Watch Home Page	Site which looks at the US Budget from socially critical point of view . It tracks the surplus, US Government legislation and poses boiling questions such as "Who should benefit from the surplus ?"
TCF Online. Policy in Perspective.	The Century Foundation undertakes analysis of contemporay social and economic issues in the States. A section of it's web site is devoted to income inequality and carries many interesting articles. Users need however to pay to download them.
United for a Fair Economy	This site contains heaps of stats resources and articles on income inequality in the US.
University of Texas Inequality Project	This site has a global focus however much data and commentary in distribution in the states can be accessed here.
REASON Online: Home of REASON Magazine (REASO.	US Current Affairs magazine which offers comment on a broad range of issues and occasionally covers issues related to tax and distribution.
Michigan Initiative on Inequalities in Health	This site carries material on the causes and solutions to health inequalities in the states
Redefining Progress	Alternative view of progress which takes account of non market activities ,resource depletion and income inequalities. Well Worth a visit.
